Well it has been a really quick summerv of racing. The last provincial race before the grands was held in Lethbridge this past weekend. It was not the biggest for attendence but there was some great races. They have a very technical track which seems to be the trend these days great job Lethbridge BMX! The weekend before that was Cochrane's Race it also was a good weekend for racing and the weather was hot.
We would like to congradulate our medal winners from the 2008 Summer Games ; francois Bonjean silver; Heather Stinson silver and Shelby Scammell bronze. Thank you for your efforts it was in the mid 30s during the races in Medicine Hat.
Tonight was our last training night and next Monday the track will be closed for the long weekend. We will be running some make up races on the rest of the Mondays in September.

Check out the pictures of the racers in our photo gallery!
Is everyone ready for our first racenight, May 5th? If yes please make sure that your all registered with a 2008 license and club membership. If you haven't been able to purchase a club membership and a BMX racing license, you still can do so. Please make sure that you come and bring a photo copy of your birth certificate. We only take cash or cheques for the club membership but you can purchase a license with a Visa.
Please don't forget to register by the phone registration 485-2690 or in person up to 6:30 pm if your planning on racing on any given race night.
Make sure that you have the correct plate on your bike with the correct plate number. Don't forget that all Male amatures must run a YELLOW plate with black numbers. We do have all the assigned P and AB plates at the track from 2007. Anyone else needing to purchase a yellow plate can do so at the track. We sell them for $8.00 and that includes your numbers as well.
If you need to borrow equipment, it is first come first serve. So come early. Don't forget to let registration know what bike you are using by giving them the plate number on it.
Remember to do your part by checking the information sheet at 6:30 once it's posted. Make sure your on the list, and that you are in the proper age and race class, and that we do have the correct plate information. We hope everyone has a wonderful BMX race season for 2008. Enjoy and remember to have FUN!!!!

We met with counciler Anderson last night and so far things are looking good. He is on the same page as us and wants to create a world class facility . If we have to rebuild we might as well do it right and have something the rest of Canada will want to come and ride. He is going to see what locations will fit are needs and get back to us the next step. This is the guy who is keeping recreational facilities a priority in the city of Edmonton. As for our current location he figures we should have at least two seasons befor we have to relocate.
There was some rumors that the St. Albert track was going to have to move or that it might not even be able start this year.
Not true we heard tonight that they will be around this year and are working with the city of St. Albert to keep BMX alive. THATS GOOD NEWS!
